We won’t stay for dinner, we will just make sure nothing stops you from getting it prepared.
All appliances are tested under normal operating conditions. We will test the garbage disposal and identify if it is operating and if it is leaking at the time of the inspection. The dishwasher is tested through a short running cycle. We will not determine how well the dishwasher is cleaning and performing, but we will verify that it is not leaking and that it is operating through its cycles as tested. Temperatures will be taken at both the refrigerator and freezer as well as testing the dispenser for ice and water. (We do not wait for the ice maker to make ice if it was not on during our inspection.) The stove and the oven will be operated to identify if the heating elements are properly operating. Every accessible outlet will be tested for proper polarity and we will test each GFCI outlet for proper operation. Every cabinet and drawer will be opened and closed to inspect for proper functionality. Visual defects or damages will be reported on all counter tops. All light fixtures will be tested and reported upon. The flooring, walls and ceilings will all be visually inspected and all major visible defects will be identified. We also will locate and test the air supply to the kitchen area to verify that this area is properly conditioned.
